Shree Agrasen Mandal, Nagpur is organising this function from many years in Nagpur and due to very hard & good effort of Shri Prakash Mehadia of Nagpur, this function is today appreciated by every community in the world.
 

Are We really 16 Crores ?

Some readers have expressed their doubts as to whether we are really sixteen crores, in the wolrd, as we say. It is true that we have not carried out any survey and census of Agarwals and it is only a wild guess. But today we are not aware of our own gotras what to talk of other surnames used by many agarwals. There are Guptas, Modis, Jalauns, Goenkas, Khaitans, Jains, Bajajs; and all are agarwals. Agarwals aboad have changed their surnames. Taking in view that there were 18 sons of Maharaja about 5000 years ago, and also the average age of the people at different times, the number comes to about sixteen crores. All agarwals and their associations should start an agarwal census to find out the real position. A combined effort can render this work possible. Till then cannot we start writing `Agarwal' as our surname instead of any variation so that we become aware of our strength.

Problems of Agrawal Community

The greatest problem of the community is that its image in the eyes of society is not as good as it should be considering its highly crucial role in national affairs. There is not that happy rapport and relationship subsisting between the community and the society in general that the exigencies of the situation demand. Agriculture, on the one hand, and trade and industry, on the other, constitute the backbone of the society. To the Agarwals has fallen a key-role in the vital sectors of business and industry; yet they have not received proper recognition either at the hands of the authorities or the society at large. In fact, they are taken for granted by both. A strong sense of distrust and suspicion, bordering on contemptuousness, appears to be prevailing against the community. Have the leaders of the community ever cared to delve deep into the causes of this chasm ? What precisely is at the root of the this estrangement ? Government is not taking much interest for benefits of our community.
